Apple’s iTunes Store has made the pilot episode for Jericho available for free download. Just follow this link to get it.

Free downloads on iTunes don’t stay free forever, and I can’t predict how long this one will stay free, so you might want to grab it while you can.

If you’re not familiar with downloading from iTunes, the first thing you’ll need is iTunes itself. You can download iTunes for free from Apple. It runs under MacOS X or under Microsoft Windows, and you don’t need an iPod or any other Apple hardware in order to use it to play music or watch videos.

Ain’t It Cool News dug up a trailer for a supposed short film called “Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse”, with Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen, both currently in “Knocked Up”. It looks like a post-end-of-the-world buddy film… I’m not sure that anything more than this trailer exists… since IMDB doesn’t know about it then that’s probably the case. In any event, the idea is probably funnier than the execution, so perhaps that’s for the best.

It’s tough being Galactus. Force for balance in the universe, hungry alien world-eater, Celestial egg hunter, always on call to boost the sales of a poor-selling comic, consistently betrayed by his heralds, and possibly appearing as a storm in the new Fantastic Four film.

Not to mention the fashion faux pas of purple and red armor.

Not to be confused with “Diary of the Dead”, George A. Romero’s new zombie flick, “The Zombie Diaries” is a British zombie film about people infected with a strain of bird flu that kills them and brings them back as the familiar living dead. More precisely, it’s about survivors who video-blog their efforts to hold out against the zombies. I used the word video-blog; the description of the film didn’t… I wonder who’ll be left to watch the videos. And will they have batteries?
