666 Watch: Google
Google hit a new milestone a couple of days ago - its stock didn’t hit a new high, that’s come and gone - but it did close at exactly $666 on November 26th.
I remember some years back, when CPU speeds were still measured in megahertz and the next natural speed for an Intel CPU was going to be 666MHz… Intel cleverly decided that it would be 667Mhz instead. Wouldn’t want the CPU of the beast to be in your computer…

I’ve still got a Powerbook Ti 667MHz….bought it in 2001, I think. Use it as my backup machine, now. But it would SOOO
cool if was 666MHz….I’d name it “The Beast”. But since it’s just one megaherz off at 667, I guess I could name it
“The Beast, Plus One”. Hmmm….
The number 666 has been appearing in my life lately. Not long ago, when tanking up my car, the pump
suddenly stopped with 6.66 gallons on the digital readout, (the nozzle was set with the latch on the trigger,
my hand off the the nozzle, as is my custom when getting gas) I still had 5 gallons to go ’till the tank was full.
A couple of months earlier, when tanking up at another gas station, the pump suddenly stopped at $6.66 on what was
to be a $37 fill up.
A few weeks ago, I checked one of my credit card balances and it was EXACTLY $666!
Dunno, maybe it’s just a sign of these times, with the Hounds of Hell ruling this country just itching to give the Four
Horsemen their reign.
Anyway, I’m waiting…pensively, for God (or is it Satan?) to drop the other shoe. I DO have a feeling, deep in my gut,
that the shit’s gonna hit the fan, bigtime, before long.
