Vatican Exhibit on The Apocalypse

Two views of the Vatican Museum’s exhibit on “The Apocalypse”. Opening Friday (that would be today) and running through December 7th, the Vatican Museum has an “iconclastic show” illustrating what St. John the Divine wrote in the Book of Revelation.

The International Herald Tribune describes it as “unusually bright and almost devil-free”. This sounds like the optimistic view of the apocalypse, or apocalypse-light: now with only 1/3 the usual monsters and sword-bearing angels.

The Catholic News Agency also has word of the exhibit, merely emphasizing its technical aspects and the names of the artists whose work is being shown (including Salvador Dali!).
