Moonbase DNA
Middle school kids get that the human race is more vulnerable to extinction as long as it is confined to the Earth, and suggested creating a “doomsday base” on the moon as a place to hold backups of vital DNA. Presumably they don’t know that part about blasting it across the galaxy.
Except for a few of the kids interviewed, some of whom describes building a “doomsday base” on the moon for storing DNA as “taking the easy way out”.
