Gaia Hates You and Wants You to Go Home - Oh Wait…

Gaia

Remember James Lovelock? He’s the Gaia-hypothesis guy. The Gaia hypothesis is the idea that all the living things on earth are really one organism. The Gaia hypothesis isn’t widely accepted in the scientific community, although various forms of the idea that kinds of life (oceanic, forest, animal) balance out one another are better accepted, and even in the Gaia-hypothesis-community there is a spectrum of belief including strong and weak versions of the Gaia hypothesis.

Lovelock is now lecturing saying: It’s too late. Lovelock believes that global warming is now irreversible and that large portions of the planet will be uninhabitable for the next 200,000 years.

He says: “An awful lot of people will die, but I don’t see the species dying out”. Pity for Gaia!
