Work on 28 Weeks Later is proceeding apace, with Harold Perrineau (Michael from Lost) joining the cast. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who directed 1996’s Esposados, 2001’s Intacto and 2002’s Psicotaxi.

28 Weeks Later is, of course, the sequel to 28 Days Later, 2003’s film about a zombie apocalypse in Great Britain by Trainspotting’s director Danny Boyle. Unfortunately, the only thing 28 Weeks Later has in common with its predecessor is production company and setting: 28 weeks after the initial infestation, people are returning to London thinking that the zombie attacks are over with, which of course they must not be, and, presumably, hilarity ensues.
